Requirements
Interested manufacturer/distributors must clarify whether their condoms meet the quality requirements. These requirements are set out in the ‘Regulations for the Condom Quality Seal’ and include:
- Burst test
- Batch-by-batch testing by an independent laboratory

Cross-brand compliance
The manufacturer is obliged to meet these conditions for every type of condom from the brand in question.

Lab selection
The manufacturer must appoint an independent laboratory to carry out the tests. Dr. Johannes Gauglhofer provides a list of accredited laboratories.

Testing
Before the contract is signed, one batch of each condom type is tested. The test is carried out in accordance with the ‘Regulations for the ‘OK’ Condom Quality Seal’. The data must then be sent in electronic format to Dr. Johannes Gauglhofer.

Use of the quality seal
If the test results confirm that the condoms meet the Association’s quality requirements, the manufacturer will sign the contract with the Association for the Condom Quality Seal. This contract regulates the use of the ‘OK’ Quality Seal in detail.
